Perfect for snacks and merienda, this recipe on Crispy Ham Bread Rolls will satisfy your craving for ham and cheese. You and your family will love it 10x more!

It was said that the bread rolls originated from England in the 16th century during the start of bread production. In the Philippines, the Crispy Ham Bread Rolls is known for many names, such as ‘ham and cheese roll’ and ‘pizza roll,’ and yet, most of the time, the recipes are sometimes often the same.

This bread roll is a Pinoy dish, which is also an item served during gatherings as appetizers or finger food and is even considered street food. It is inexpensive and easy to do, the good thing about this is that it is very deliciously appealing and tastes good too!

What is the best dip for Crispy Ham Bread Rolls?

Filipinos often add ketchup when eating bread rolls, but if you are willing to go the extra mile, cooked marinara sauce is also a good option!

Cooking Tips

  • For greater results to achieve that oozing cheese effect, you can make use of other cheeses such as quick melt and mozzarella.
  • Not a fan of oily food? After frying, let the newly cooked bread rolls sit on tissue paper, too, to drain out the excess oil.
